Code of Conduct for Principal

  • The Principal should ensure quality in education and academic activities.
  • The Principal should chalk out policy and plan to execute the vision and mission of the college.
  • The Principal should form various college level committees and appoint coordinators.
  • The Principal should convene meetings of different Cells as and when required.
  • The Principal should monitor financial matters efficiently.
  • The Principal should motivate teachers to enhance their knowledge by attending various trainings programmes.
  • The Principal should ensure that the directions issued by the Department of Collegiate Education are strictly complied with.

Code of Conduct for Students

  • Every student shall wear clean, neat and formal College dress.
  • Casual wear such as T-Shirts, shorts and jeans must be avoided.
  • During class hours a student cannot go out of the classroom without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  • Students who violate this rule will have to face disciplinary action.
  • The college expects students of both sexes to foster a healthy and decent relationship both on campus and of campus. The very spirit of co-education lies in facilitating such a relationship. Any behaviour contrary to this sprit is deemed unlawful and punishable.
  • During leisure hours, students are advised to use the library.
  • During leisure hours women students should go to the rest room or library. They should not stay in the classrooms.
  • Late comers are forbidden from entering the classrooms.
  • Students shall move from one classroom to another or get out of the classroom in an orderly manner, without making any noise.
  • Students should bring prescribed textbooks to the classes every day. Failing which they will be sent out of the classroom.
  • Defacing the blackboards of walls will be severely dealt with.
  • Students should handle the furniture and other properties with care. Damage to the furniture will lead to penalty or suspension from college.
  • Students should stay away from any anti social activities.
  • Students should stay wear their identity cards inside the campus daily.
  • Without the permission of the Principal, Students are not permitted to circulate any printed materials or pamphlets.
  • Ragging in any form is a serious offense and it will be dealt with severely.
  • Damage fee will be collected for any damage caused by them knowingly or unknowingly.
  • Students should take care of their belongings. The institution will not be responsible for any loss.
  • Students are advised to actively participate in cultural and sports activities conducted by the college.
  • During examination students should strictly follow the rules and regulation of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.

Code of Conduct for Teachers

  • Every Teacher shall discharge his/her duties efficiently and diligently to match with the academic standards and performance norms laid down by UGC from time to time.
  • Every Teacher shall update his/her knowledge and skills to equip himself/herself professionally for the proper discharge of duties assigned to him/her.
  • Every Teacher shall conduct himself/herself with absolute dignity and decorum in his/her dealing with the superiors, colleagues and students every time.
  • No teacher shall absent himself/herself from duties at any time without prior permission from higher-ups.
  • No teacher shall accept any honorary or other assignment given to him/her by any external agency without the prior permission of the higher authority.
  • No teacher shall associate with any political party or take part in any other organizational actively, which is not in-line with the duties and ethics of the teaching profession.
  • No teacher shall attempt to bring any political or outside pressure on his/her superior authorities in respect of service matters.
  • No teacher shall act in any manner that violates the norms of decency or morality in his/her conduct or behavior inside and outside the College Campus.
  • No teacher shall by act or deed degrades, harass or insult any other person for any reason whatsoever or act in a manner unbecoming of the teaching profession.
  • Every teacher in the service of the College shall at all the time strive for academic excellence in the discharge of his/her duties and conduct himself/herself in the manner of a perfect role model for others to emulate.
  • Every teacher in the service of the College shall strictly follow the orders of UGC and Maharashtra Government rules.

Code of Conduct for Non-teaching Staff

  • Every staff in the college shall discharge his/her duties efficiently and diligently and shall conform to the rules and regulations.
  • No Staff in a college shall absent himself from his/her duties without prior permission. In case of sickness or absence on medical ground, a medical certificate to the satisfaction of the college authorities shall be produced within a week.
  • No Staff employed in a college shall engage directly or indirectly in any trade or business. In the case of remunerative work like private tuition etc., specific sanction of the college authorities in writing shall be abstained.
  • Staff employed in a college shall not engage himself/herself in any political activity. He/She shall not associate with any political party or any organization which takes part in politics or shall subscribe to, or assist in any other manner, any political movement.
  • No staff employed in a college shall contest or participate in or canvas for any candidate in any election.
  • No staff employed in a college shall engage himself/herself or participate in any activity which is anti-secular or which tends to create disharmony in society or in any demonstration which is prejudicial to the interests of the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of States, friendly relation with foreign States, Public order, decency or morality or which involves contempt of court, defamation or incitement to an offense.
  • No staff employed in a college shall indulge in any criticism of the policies of the Government either directly or indirectly or participate in activities which bring disrepute to the Government.
